Thank you for dropping by. I have two cracking books to tell you
about which I hope you'll enjoy.
My latest is an English history book for everybody from
10-year-olds to parents, grandparents and quiz enthusiasts.
The Little Book of Monarchs is probably the most concise
English history book ever published.
Each reign is condensed into five bullet points and illustrated by one of
Adrian Teal's clever cartoons so it sticks in the memory and gives you a
snappy aide memoire to our bloody and glorious past.
"A wonderfully accurate and fascinating little guide to English monarchs.
Pithy, precise and lively."
- Suzannah Lipscomb, TV historian, author and Reader in Early Modern History at Roehampton University, recommends The Little Book of Monarchs.
"A rollicking good read!"
- Ashley Walton, acclaimed author of books on royalty, recommends Leonie.
My first book was an historical novel, Leonie and the last Napoleon.
This was published in 2007 and has won much praise. It is a story of love
and romance, of war and political intrigue, set in Paris during the Second Empire.
Heroine Leonie Michel catches the eye of the Emperor Napoleon III. But heartbreak
and danger lie ahead as France suffers invasion and revolution.
